Ebony's Soiree - Part one of The Styling Collection The Collaborative Project Mount Isa
Recently 10 local businesses took part in a series of three styled photo shoots. The intent of these shoots is to showcase a sample of the remarkable products and services that Mount Isa has to offer. To boast about Mount Isa’s gorgeous contrast landscapes and to give metropolitan areas insight into the reality of Mount Isa and not just a perception they may already hold.
These photo shoots and the project itself is now featured in the November Issue of Townsville lifestyle magazine DUO. DUO is distributed to over 400 locations throughout North Queensland, holds an online readership base of around 33,000 impressions per issue and a whopping 45,000 readership of the printed version. This magazine is an amazing platform to place Mount Isa into and we are thankful that they saw the opportunity to run our story /photo shoots. The first styled photo shoot that the project brought to life was called ‘Ebony’s Soiree’. In the design of this shoot I wanted to be really creative and completely left-of-field. Striking bold colours and textures, set in thick woodland. This location was on the way out to Lake Moondarra, and as locals know that whenever there is water nearby the landscape tends to transform into an old style Rainforest, with high canopies and palms such as the Pandana sprouted throughout. The story we wanted to portray was of a fanciful hostess awaiting her dinner party to arrive. She has styled the table in moody hues of marsala, deep magenta, purple, green, black and gold. The textures are all delicately entwined with each other, matching perfectly to the hanging terrariums overhead and the element of classic elegance from Miss Audrey Hepburn.
I just wonder what Ebony’s guests would have adorned to the soiree, now that could be interesting…
